Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

Let's Leap welcomes all children, regardless of any special educational needs, disability, or behavioural difficulties, to attend and fully participate in our camps.

Let's Leap is committed to working alongside parents/guardians to enable us to help the child to develop to their full potential in all activities (including physical activities). Let's Leap is committed to working with any child who has a specific need and/or disability and making reasonable adjustments to enable every child to make full use of our holiday provisions.

Let's Leap management will endeavor to find out as much relevant information from parents/guardians and other professionals/agencies to enable us to support the child to enable them to be fully integrated into our camps.

The Inclusion Manager is the nominated person responsible for special educational needs and disabilities in our camps. We make our facilities and settings as accessible as we possibly can, with consideration to the different activities that we offer in an attempt to make all activities available to every child within their specific age group. Each child identified with special educational needs and/or disabilities will have his or her needs met where practically possible. Children's progress is monitored and reviewed on a daily basis.

We are more than happy for any child to attend Let's Leap Camps. We cannot, however, offer 1:1 supervision. We provide staffing to meet the current ratios for Under 8's as 1:8 and Over 8's as 1:12. Any child who needs 1:1 supervision is still welcome to attend our camps on the condition that the parent or guardian cover the additional cost for a Let's Leap staff member to provide one-on-one support/supervision for the child.

In some circumstances, Let's Leap provisions may not be able to meet the needs of a child, and the environment may not be suitable for the child. In this circumstance, the Inclusion Manager will liaise with the parents and discuss all options available and agree on the best outcome for the child.

Our Inclusion Manager is available to discuss your child's needs and will offer all the help they can to ensure your child has a memorable camp experience.
